A wonderful two evenings – what a performance from Chiaroscuro. Well worth my 140 mile round trip from Essex – and a night in the Four Horseshoes was a bonus, not to mention the walk and birds on the Thornham Estate during Thursday. I shall certainly be back. Please pass my thanks and admiration to the quartet. And of course thanks to the organisers.

Many thanks for a wonderful evening of music on Wednesday.
It’s a lovely venue, a warm welcome and the Quartet was fantastic. We really enjoyed it.
It would be wonderful if more people knew about those concerts.
I look forward to getting to more events in Thornham.

    Good morning!
We really enjoyed the concert yesterday and the delightful refreshments added to an excellent summers afternoon.
Following on from that we wish to reserve 2 tickets for the next concert in September.

    Dear Music at Thornham,
Just a quick note to thank you for today’s concert. The contrast between the innovative, truly atmospheric string music of Scelsi, Finnis, Sciarino and Frisch – none of whom I’d heard of – with Schubert’s celebrated and powerful Quartet No.14 ‘Death and the Maiden’ – which is a brilliant example of its genre – was striking and memorable. These pieces were rare offerings, beautifully played. I don’t think works like this are often to be heard in small churches in the Suffolk countryside. I look forward to your next concert later this year.
    Best wishes,
    Tim

Just to say I really enjoyed the lunchtime concert at Thornham Parva. The programme was very interesting and thought provoking. I did not expect Haydn to sound so “modern”. Also fantastic to see the players so consumed with the music. A big “Thank You ” for putting it all together and thanks too Corentin.
